- 14oz extra firm tofu
- 2 tbsp tamari/soy sauce
- 1/2 cup tamari/soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp arrowroot
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 inch piece of ginger peeled and grated
- 2 garlic cloves peeled and grated
For the tofu:
- Preheat oven to 400 F, cut tofu into 8 slabs width wise, cut slabs in half, then slice halves into triangles.
- Place slices on a kitchen towel, with another towel on top, then gently place a heavy pan on top of that to squeeze out the extra water for 10min. Your tofu will thank you and be more tasty.
- Place tofu pieces on a parchment lined baking sheet and brush tofu with the tamari until coated on all sides.
- Bake for 15-20 min gently flipping half way.
- While Tofu is baking make the sauce. Whisk together all the ingredients in a small sauce pan over medium heat 2-3 min.
- Pour the yummy sauce over baked tofu, and mix it up with the rest of your dish. Enjoy!
